Russian Language Preparatory Course for Foreigners

Documents for admission: 

• Copy of a passport (must be valid during a year and a half after arrival to Russia);
• Completed Enrollment Form for Russian Language Preparatory Course; 
• Education certificate of the state-established form

A student has to prepay the state tax on issuing a visa invitation for a foreign citizen. Enrollment procedure starts in May. Application deadline – October 10

Admission to Bachelor Programs, Specialist Degree Programs and Master Programs

To enter Tver State University a foreign citizen has to 

1. Submit documents (can be submitted online);

2. Pass entrance tests (can be taked online);

3. Submit enrollment (consent application);

4. Sign a study contract;

5. Pay tuition fee

A foreign citizen has to submit the following documents:

• an application of the established form (to be filled in at the selection committee);
• a copy of the document which certifies the identity of the applicant with a translation into Russian verified by a lawyer;
• an original state-education certificate (or its duly certified copy), with a translation into Russian;
• the certificate of recognition of the education document (if necessary) – to be issued in the “Glavekspertcentr”(Moscow. For more information go  to http://obrnadzor.gov.ru/en/nostrification/ and http://obrnadzor.gov.ru/en/expert_centre/;
• health certificate, stating that the candidate is fit for studies with a translation into Russian 4 photos 3x4.

Features of reception of foreign citizens and persons without citizenship

• Foreign citizens and persons without citizenship have the right to receive higher education at the expense of budgetary appropriations in accordance with the international treaties of the Russian Federation, Federal laws or established by the Government of the Russian Federation quota for education of foreign citizens and stateless persons (hereinafter – the quota for education of foreign citizens), and also for the expense of individuals and legal entities in accordance with the treaties on rendering paid educational services.  
• The admission to study within the quota for education of foreign citizens is carried out in accordance with the directions of the federal executive body responsible for the development of state policy and regulatory regulation in the field of higher education. Enrollment within the quota for the education of foreign citizens is made out by a separate order (orders) of the university.
• Foreign citizens who apply for training on the basis of international agreements, in addition to the documents specified in paragraph 46 of the Admission Rules, submit documents confirming their inclusion in the number of persons specified in the relevant international agreements.
• Foreign citizens and stateless persons who are compatriots living abroad (hereinafter referred to as compatriots), in addition to the documents specified in paragraph 46 of the Admission Rules, submit originals or copies of the documents provided for in Article 17 of Federal Law № 99 of May 24, 1999 "On the State Policy of the Russian Federation in relation to Compatriots Abroad".
• Compatriots are not subject to special rights for admission to bachelor's degree programs and specialty programs provided in accordance with Federal Law № 273, unless otherwise provided by an international treaty of the Russian Federation.
• When applying for bachelor's degree programs and specialty programs under contracts for the provision of paid educational services, Tver State University independently establishes a list of entrance tests for foreign citizens and stateless persons (hereinafter – the entrance tests established for foreign citizens).
• The number of entrance tests established for foreign citizens does not differ from the number of entrance tests specified in paragraphs 15-17 of the Admission Rules.
• When submitting documents, a foreign citizen or a stateless person shall submit, in accordance with subparagraph 1 of paragraph 46 of the Admission Rules, an original or a copy of the identity document, citizenship, or a document certifying the identity of a foreign citizen in the Russian Federation or the identity of a stateless person in the Russian Federation in accordance with Article 10 of Federal Law № 115 of July 25, 2002 "On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation".
• The admission of foreign citizens and stateless persons to educational programs containing information constituting a state secret is carried out within the quota for the education of foreign citizens in compliance with the requirements provided for by the egislation of the Russian Federation on state secrets.
